Rooting Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos

In this tutorial we will provide full details on how to root your Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos (I9082)!

Steps to take before Rooting:

• Rooting your device will void your warranty.
• Before you proceed further, it is recommended that you disable the Anti-virus program or Samsung skies if you do have on your system.
• Enable USB Debugging from Settings>>Developers Options
• Make sure you have enough battery on your device

• Download Odin3 V3.07
• Download CWM Recovery Zip file package for Galaxy Grand
• Download SuperSU App Zip file package and move/save it to your device Sdcard.

There two steps in this specific, Rooting your Galaxy Grand Duos:

1. First we will install ClockworkMod Recovery also called CWM
2. Then we will proceed to Root your Galaxy Grand Duos

Instructions to Install CWM Recovery on Grand Duos I9082

Step 1. First of all, Turn Off your device, and boot it into Download Mode, by holding the Volume Down+Home+Power Button at the same time. You should then Press the Volume Up button to confirm download mode.
Step 2. Double click on Odin3.exe to Launch the application. Make sure it detects your device.
Step 3. Now before you further proceed, Make sure you the Repartition Option is not checked and Check the Auto Reboot option.
Step 4. When everything gets ready, Hit the PDA button and select the CWM Recovery .md5 file, you have extracted earlier, and then Click on START button to Install CWM Recovery Mode on your Galaxy Grand Duos. After this your device will reboot and wait until it normally starts.

Step 1. Now switch off your device and this time boot it into CWM Recovery mode by holding the Volume Up+Home+Power buttons simultaneously, unless you see the CWM Recovery Options/Menu as shown in the below image (Screen 1):

Step 2. Now you will be using your Volume Up/Down Buttons to Navigate through different options and use your Power key to select options.
Step 3. Now choose the option ” Install zip from Sdcard“, and choose the file you have earlier saved on your Sdcard.
